The latest Webtorials report revealed some interesting results after surveying 231 organizations that have been hesitant in fully deploying an enterprise mobility (EM) solution. Approximately 83% of those companies surveyed do not have an existing EM strategy in place and 99% of companies indicated their intention to fully integrate. Turns out, organizations without an existing EM strategy lose up to $12,493 per knowledge worker and $9,283 per information worker per year.
Without an EM strategy in place, companies operate at a disadvantage with repercussions that extend beyond simple finances. Downgraded workplace productivity as a result of inefficient legacy systems could mean a higher number of inter-departmental miscommunication incidents. This is especially harmful for organizations that place a heavy emphasis on speedy internal communication when establishing client relationships.
For most companies, the rewards of smoother information flow are experienced almost immediately. The returns from deploying an EM solution include the generated benefits from having secure messaging, file-sharing, compliance and cross-collaboration on employee devices. The end result is an enhanced communication network geared for operational efficiency.
