Admins, we’re on your side
What was our biggest motivation for developing the Console? The answer is simple: We want to make life for Admins easier. Time and again, we’ve heard from system administrators that keeping everything up and running smoothly is a difficult, under-appreciated task. Employees demand instant responses when they encounter problems, yet they are rarely appreciative outside these scattered interactions.
For most software, administrative features end up being an afterthought. As an enterprise-focused company, this is fundamentally at odds with our approach. We take the same pride and care in the design of the Admin Console as we do for the Lua apps themselves.
Making Admins’ lives easier also means having intuitive apps that individual employees do not struggle with continuously. It’s a hassle to gather employees in a room for important software training sessions, and when they do show up they sometimes do so grudgingly. Admins, we’re on your side. As our clients know, Lua is extremely easy to pick up and use, with minimal training necessary.
Unchain yourself from the desk: manage on the go
The Admin Console was designed from the beginning to work from a desktop, tablet, or mobile device. We know that enterprise administrators never stand still: there’s always some issue somewhere that needs attention, so we took that extra time to ensure that as with Lua itself, the Admin Console enables an administrator to get their job done from anywhere.
Here’s a scenario that every IT manager can identify with. You’re away from your desk, responding to a critical issue in a separate office. A call comes in: an employee just lost his smartphone that was logged into the company’s messaging platform. Traditional enterprise software with desktop-only controls pose a lose-lose tradeoff: either you drop what you’re doing and rush back to the desk to log the user out remotely, or you keep addressing the issue at hand while the risk that the lost device falls into the wrong hands grows.
Mobility is the answer. You should be able to force a logout on the lost device right away, from wherever you are, and then return worry-free to the task at hand. If an employee can’t figure out how to change the phone number associated to his account, you should not have to show up at the employee’s desk to actually help him out. Fluidity between desk and mobile is a principle that guided the development of Lua from day one, and it guides our Console today. An Admin can easily access the Console from mobile and from the Web.

Who has access to the Admin Console?
Only members with Admin privileges will have access to the Admin Console. For access to the Console, please approach an Admin in your network to be granted Admin status.
What individual member information can I edit through the Console?
The Console allows Admins to edit a range of details for each member. Just scroll or search for the specific individual on the member list, and open the member profile to make edits. Admins can edit:
- Login email address
- Phone number
- Admin status
Admins can also deactivate an individual member through the Console.
Can I access the Admin Console on my mobile device?
Yes. The Console is not only accessible on the Web, but also through your web browser on any mobile device. Bookmark the Console URL or save it to your device’s home screen for even quicker access!
