Last Wednesday, Strauss Zelnick (CEO, Zelnick Media) and John Maloney (ex-President of Tumblr) joined Michael at the office of Zelnick Media for a special panel event to discuss the current state of enterprise mobility, and their predictions for the future. With the majestic Manhattan skyline towering in the backdrop, the panel touched on topics in communication, management, technology and business.
Strauss and John marveled at how communication at workplace has come a long way since the early parts of their careers, when communication gaps slowed the daily workflow. A critical part of this progress has been the revolution in mobile infrastructure, with current devices (and new ones about to be released) packing a slew of useful tools (camera, voice recording, internet connectivity, file handling) into one portable package. With these devices now being put in every worker's hands, the stage has been set for a more natural, productive way of conversation: real-time, in-the-moment messaging that helps workers get their job done exactly when they need it.
The panel also discussed how the increasing mobility of every employee is enabling companies to do even more: reaching more customers, responding faster, and staying more in sync throughout every activity.
