An Outside Look at the Tug of War Between Apple and the Enterprise


There's a tug of war going on now between Apple and the enterprise: Apple wants to support technology that's only available for its platforms, but enterprises want to cater to the different device preferences of their employees. Michael pens his thoughts about that in his recent Forbes article, calling for companies like Apple and Android to make it easier for companies to roll out the same services to all employees:

This modern day game of chicken between Apple and the enterprise may end up being determined by a third party – that being global companies’ employees and their demands...I think it’s important to point out that not only are large companies hiring more global employees, but all businesses are beginning to use more contractors – to the extent that a recent Intuit study found that by 2020 over 40% of global workers will be freelancers.
